There were only a few cars on the road.</p><p>Mr. Big uses a lot of enery. There were lots of cars in the traffic jam.</p><p><span style="color:hsl(0, 75%, 60%);">+) some/ any/ how much/ how many/ a lot of/ a little/ a few</span></p><p>- Some/ Any:</p><p>Use “some” and “any” with plural count nouns and noncount nouns.</p><p>Use “some” in affirmative statements.</p><p>Ex: There are some plastic bags in the cupboard.</p><p>Use “any” in negative statements and questions.</p><p>Ex: There aren’t any plastic bags in the cupboard.</p><p>Are there any plastic bags in the cupboard?</p><p>- Numbers: Use numbers with countable nouns.</p><p>Ex: There are two/ten/fifty/a hundered people in the park.</p><p>- A lot of (or lots of)/A little/ A Few</p><p>Use “a lot of” or “lots of” and “a few” with plural count nouns.</p><p>Ex: There are lots of ways to reuse plastic bags.</p><p>You can use a few plastic bags to make a strong shopping bag.</p><p>Use “a lot of” or “lots of” and “a little” with noncount nouns.</p><p>Ex: It takes a lot of energy to make plastic bags.</p><p>You can save a little money by reusing plastic bags.</p><p>- How much/ How many:</p><p>Use “How many...?” with plural count nouns.</p><p>Ex: How many plastic bags do you have?</p><p>Use “How much...?” with noncount nouns.</p><p>How much energy does it take to make a plastic bag?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>3.
